The family office oversaw an extensive global portfolio of assets, including multiple family residences, private aviation operations, and a substantial superyacht program which extended from the US to the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Each of the four sibling families maintained independent operations but shared a central family office structure responsible for risk oversight. As the family’s travel needs and asset portfolio expanded, the family recognized the need for external expertise to assess vulnerabilities across environments and implement a cohesive approach to safety and compliance.
Aventel was engaged to conduct a full-spectrum risk and security review, covering residences, aviation operations, and maritime assets. The engagement extended beyond assessment—integrating advisory, training, and governance functions to create a consistent standard of protection across all domains.
Aventel carried out in-depth assessments at each residence and family office location, evaluating physical and procedural security, privacy measures, and travel protocols. Tailored security awareness discussions were conducted with each family to improve understanding of personal and operational risk.
In aviation and maritime operations, Aventel reviewed management procedures, conducted ISPS-compliant maritime audits, and implemented training programs for yacht crews. We provided advisory for the construction of a new superyacht, ensuring that all security systems and operational processes meet international standards.
Additionally, Aventel supported the extended network of high-net-worth associates and guests, coordinating discreet travel and asset protection measures during shared use of private aircraft and yachts.
Over a five-year period, Aventel established unified oversight of the family’s risk and security functions—ensuring consistency, compliance, and readiness across multiple jurisdictions. The program strengthened operational governance for both family and management personnel and elevated the security culture across all properties and assets.
